Examining Stakeholder Relationships in Chinese Public Relations Practice

A Case Study of LinkedIn China and Its Sub-Brand Chitu

My master's thesis asked how a Western platform earns trust inside China. The answer was not the one the textbooks predicted. Stakeholder theory and relationship management theory could not explain LinkedIn China's results on their own. What explained them was CEO communication, personal influence, issues management, and Guanxi working as a live factor in strategic decisions.

Ten years on, the same structural question sits underneath every debate about technology crossing a border. This is where the work on this site began.

Decoding U.S.–China Cross-Cultural Communication

解码中美跨文化沟通

Nine pages on Cultural Intelligence, and on why the gap between Chinese and American business mindsets is structural rather than personal. It covers the four pillars of CQ, Motivation, Knowledge, Strategy and Action, and what each one looks like in a real negotiation.

Originally a book chapter, published in 2019. Short enough that you will actually finish it.
